"Save me. The memories keep playing. I hear death calling, but here i am. Lame, stuck on this bed. Blinded, deaf, left to rot in my own darkness haunted by those devils. Give me relief...just kill me. Please.
Just any other christmas. A white one this year, with the family. The romantic, soft snowfall as flakes drop effortlessly onto piled up snow, people huddled against the hearth lovingly. Candles paint a flickering shadow against the wall, the cool air setting a background of ease.Passion and bonding of the family was thick in the air. All these with one missing member on her way home. Not far from the porch just then, hurried steps, a panting and sweaty kid runs in bearing nothing but the worst possibility...
You hear the news. You take a good minute to respond. It sinks in deep into your mind..the one you have fought so hard for, cherished and cared for so hard, the one person that you could not love any harder, gone. Damned to eternity from a mistake, somebody's imcompetency to drive. An unusual calm... The memories pools around your feet somewhere in your mind like oil. A spark, an explosion and darkness sets in, the world goes upside down and dark in an instant. The next thing you know when you wake up, nothing in the house is left standing, blood splashed generously all over the wall, the snow right on your front door stained red.
I looked at my own hand, dyed crimson with the very life of my kin. Shaking...out of raw fear and disgusts. Realisation... I wringed the breath out of the people i'd die to protect... somewhere in my head something trips. Madness scours the last vestiges of my sanity. A desperate chuckle. My mind fails for the last time...the last i remember, a windy ledge and then, nothing"
These small storylines reflects the mood i was in when i wrote them.Brings me to one question i had. When or if,you are about to lose the one person who means everything to you, how far would you go to get that person back?
